BLUEFIN THE BEGINNINGS
Bluefin SUPs started with my passion for the great outdoors and all things aquatic. Living on the Yorkshire moors fuelled my drive to help others get outside and enjoy nature in as many ways as possible. This sparked the beginning of Bluefin SUPs. The first paddleboard was designed in 2018 and was the result of years of hard-earned knowledge. This board set the stage for all the exciting releases to follow with the mission to provide other outdoor enthusiasts with ethically produced, top-quality gear that’s affordable.
BLUEFIN CRUISE
With the original Cruise model proving to be a success, we looked at expanding our team and taking our customer base to the USA. A year later we maintained a US base, taking SUP adventures across to the States for more people to enjoy. From there on we have continued to grow, in 2020 Bluefin ventured into accessories, broadening the Bluefin portfolio to include electric pumps. We also designed our award winning third generation Cruise range, built with advanced ESL technology and held up to 18 PSI in strength.
Moving through to 2022 we developed the fourth Cruise series, which is the board you will know today. This SUP is both our strongest and lightest Cruise board to date, earning its stripes in the awards department. We decided to branch out form our legacy blue shade and create five exciting colourways to make you truly stand out. Quickly after launch it became clear Sunburst Orange and Gecko Blue are popular shade with the SUP community.
BLUEFIN EVOLUTION
Bluefin hasn't only developed new products; we are constantly reviewing new brand initiatives that will help reduce or carbon footprint. From organising beach clean-ups, using recycled materials on our products and planting trees for every board purchase. We believe in crafting boards built to last, ensuring longevity and reducing the need for frequent replacements that contribute to excess waste. We are continuing to take meaningful steps towards a more environmentally responsible future.
Bringing us to today and 11 years later we sell multiple specialist and all-round paddleboards for everyone to enjoy. Bluefin’s original mission has been maintained and improved on to provide outdoor enthusiasts with ethically produced, top-quality water equipment at an affordable price. We are still a small, family run business and every member of our team shares the same values and goals, which is evident in our products. The past 11 years has seen Bluefin grow into a trustworthy and sustainable brand and we can’t wait for everyone to see what we have planned.
